We Are The World

When God created Adam and Eve, it was His intention for mankind to live in peace and harmony and to love one another, but sin changed everything and now we have divisions everywhere within mankind. In 1985 there was great suffering in Africa as many people starved to death while the world looked on. To their credit, Lionel Richie and the late Michael Jackson wrote a song and had some of the most famous voices at that time sing the song together in a studio. "We Are The World" was about human race and how we need to help those less fortunate than us. Unless you have a heart of stone, it's well written song that stirs your emotions to go out and help someone because he are all human beings.

The problem is that while the intentions of the song were good, millions still died without Christ. It was a social call for help that eased the hurting temporarily but never showed the people their need for a Savior. Now twenty-five years later they have gotten together to remake this song in the wake of the Haiti earthquake to raise money which can be used to buy food, water and help with rebuilding a country that was completely devastated.

But what about Haiti's rejection of God and the long-held embrace of satanism? What about all the people who have died and those continue to die without being born again? Let's send the people of Haiti supplies and help them physically but let's not forget their souls which need the redeeming power of Christ.
John 3:3-8
(3)  Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
(4)  Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?
(5)  Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
(6)  That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
(7)  Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.
(8)  The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.
Romans 10:8-15
(8)  But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;
(9)  That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
(10)  For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
(11)  For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
(12)  For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.
(13)  For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
(14)  How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?
(15)  And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!
