Why We Have Oil Problems

Lot of folks can't understand why we have an oil shortage in the USA. The reason for this is purely geographical. The oil is in Alaska, Oklahoma, Texas, Louisiana, Wyoming, etc. -- and the dipsticks are in Washington, D.C.

I have often wondered why the U.S. doesn't get with other countries and charge OPEC nations high prices for food? Don't tell me about how it would not be humanitarian -- every time they raise oil prices, I have less money to spend on food for my family.
